BALANCE BY SANCTUM

Structured Boxing-Based Supports for NDIS Participants

Balance by Sanctum provides structured, participant-centred supports for NDIS participants through boxing-based activities tailored to individual goals, abilities and support needs.

Delivered at Sanctum Forge Boxing Gym, our sessions are designed to support community participation, confidence, social connection, coordination, emotional wellbeing, routine and overall personal development within a safe and inclusive environment.

Participants are supported by experienced and encouraging coaches under the guidance of Australian Boxing Hall of Fame Inductee Paul Briggs, whose decades of experience in boxing, mentoring and coaching have positively impacted people of all ages and backgrounds.

Using non-contact boxing drills, movement-based activities and supportive coaching, participants are encouraged to build confidence, develop practical skills, engage with others and work toward greater independence and participation in everyday life.

Sessions are tailored to the individual and may support goals relating to:

  • community participation
  • social engagement
  • confidence and self-esteem
  • emotional regulation
  • coordination and physical wellbeing
  • routine and consistency
  • communication and interpersonal skills
  •

Our coaches create a welcoming and supportive environment where participants are encouraged to progress at their own pace while developing skills in a structured and engaging setting.

We regularly receive positive feedback from participants, parents, carers and support teams regarding increased confidence, engagement, coordination, motivation and sense of belonging developed through the sessions.

Balance by Sanctum welcomes participants of varying abilities and experience levels and is committed to delivering inclusive supports that are tailored, respectful and participant-focused.

this is what parents of our youngest particpants are saying...

  • My son sits down and does his homework after boxing- he NEVER does that!
  • I’m surprised my daughter even gets out of the car let alone connects with the coaches- social skills is something she struggles with.
  • Boxing aligns my son’s wandering left eye.
  • This is the first time my daughter has done a sport and she loves it.  She even practises at home.  She has progressed so much in her ability.
  • My son has better balance at home from his one session on Saturdays.
